We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a specialized focus on measuring drawings and be responsible for accurately interpreting and quantifying measurements from engineering drawings. This role is crucial for ensuring precise cost estimates and facilitating effective project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Drawing Analysis and Measurement: Review and interpret drawings, extract measurements, prepare accurate bills of quantities (BoQs), ensure compliance with standards.
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, update measurement records with project changes.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present measurement reports, maintain accurate records of measurement data and calculations.
Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and professionals to clarify designs and resolve discrepancies, communicate findings and issues promptly.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to regulations and best practices, conduct regular audits for accuracy.
Continuous Improvement: Implement improvements to measurement processes, stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on measuring drawings.
Working knowledge of concrete structure construction on Civil, Mining, or Construction sites.
Ability to understand and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
High verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team environment.
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite capabilities.
Proficiency in measurement software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD, CostX, Bluebeam).
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and measurement techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
