Duties:- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.- Conduct thorough quantity surveys and take-offs to determine the required materials and resources for construction projects.
Examine and review or assess construction plans and prepare a bill of Quantities and Materials.
- Monitor and analyze project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues affecting costs and timelines.
Perform monthly cost reporting and tracking of ongoing jobs.- Gather and prepare reports, analyze, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other necessary and relevant documents, and forward them to the appropriate management or personnel.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize project costs without compromising quality and functionality.
- Document relevant changes in design and update budgets when required.
Prepare quotations/ proposals for variation Works.- Liaise and work collaboratively with site managers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Attend site meetings, on-site verifications, and quality checks.
- Provide advice, recommendations, and suggestions to managers and clients on innovative improvements and new strategies.
Build and maintain healthy and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Do ocular inspections of various sites when required.
Assess and evaluate the payment of workers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role.
Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project delivery processes.- Proficient in industry-standard software for quantity surveying and cost estimating.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
