ByteDance is a part of a global internet technology group operating a range of content platforms, including TikTok, that inform, educate, entertain and inspire people across languages, cultures and geographies.
Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to everyday life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
Hence, it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.
What will I be doing
- Lead a team of quality analysts
- Work closely with the Content Moderation Teams (both in-house and outsourced) in order to provide feedback on quality
- Through data analysis, feedback problems & handling necessary escalation and form a quality inspection report
- Work closely & hand in hand with other departments to respond immediately to relevant operation needs
- Participate in the development of quality inspection standards and continuously optimize the process and system platform
- Support the QA Team Manager in data analysis/reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in content moderation, quality assurance, or related fields, with at least 1 year in a leadership or team management role.
- Deep understanding of data quality assurance methodologies, processes, and metrics.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with a passion for working in a team environment
- Come with leadership skills with experience leading or managing people in a previous situation
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve data quality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology, processes, and business requirements
