Quality Assurance SupervisorThe Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and food safety within our organization. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of quality management principles.
As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing QA schedules and leading the QA team to ensure timely execution of all QA activities.
Taking charge of revising HACCP protocols and preparing documentation for ISO audits.- Attending Weekly Operations Review (WOR) meetings and contributing to strategic plans for quality assurance.
Developing QA plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points, and establishing preventive measures.
- Validating quality processes by establishing product specifications and attributes.
Maintaining and improving product quality by collaborating with management to develop training methods.- Preparing quality documentation and reports, including analyses of failed processes and corrective actions.
Staying updated on developments in quality management and integrating new knowledge into the role.
- Reviewing and analyzing integrated pest management programs to ensure effectiveness.
Assisting in the development and improvement of food safety standards.- Evaluating potential food safety hazards and implementing mitigation strategies.
Resolving problems affecting service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Renewing regulatory accreditations and ensuring compliance with standards such as GOP, SSOP, and HACCP.
Conducting annual refresher courses on GOP and SSOP for warehouse personnel.- Inspecting incoming shipments to ensure quality meets specifications.
Engaging in client visits for special projects or customers as necessary.
- Leading, training, and guiding staff and trainees in related functions.
Undertaking research into aspects of food processing, preservation, and quality improvement.
- As Member of Food Safety Team:
Periodically review food safety procedures and instructions to ensure they remain current.- Establish, implement, and maintain processes for the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Report on FSMS performance and improvements needed.
- Conduct HACCP and internal food safety audits.
Determine disposition of non-conforming products and initiate product recalls when necessary.
A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.- Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
