Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Team Lead, this position is responsible for ensuring the quality of developed applications using available tools. Major job responsibilities include: testing of applications utilizing any number of tools or methods that is appropriate for the application; monitoring the performance of the application; answer bug reports and forwards to responsible development supervisor; and/or developer; and orienting user on how to use the application. This role requires an understanding of basic structured query language (SQL) and at least one (1) programming language.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guarantees the highest level of quality for the end client.
- Performs Alpha/Beta test on internal and external applications using test cases and scripts.
- Identifies and tests by hand all of the steps necessary to make the software work in an environment.
- Creates test scripts using automated testing tools to test the software.
- Executes the test cases and scripts either using manual or automated test.
- Ensures that all areas of the system interface with each other correctly and that there are no gaps in the data flow.
- Facilitates or performs random testing of all components to ensure that there are no random bugs haunting the system.
- Prepares summaries and analysis from previous to current test results, and suggests ways on dealing with errors, especially with recurring and intermittent ones.
- Uses automated testing tools and/or tools necessary to validate applications, database values, and workflows when there is no easy way to validate the correct answer.
- Tests for continuous/smooth flow such as acceptable response time and software/hardware compliance using appropriate means.
- Helps the users understand how to use the software that has been created; communicates what the product does and how it works; and efficiently conveys how the user can best use the solution.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries/questions, or errors/problems within the system.
- Ensures compliance to department standard processes and procedures.
- Ensures compliance to company rules and regulations, which shall include but not limited to the Employee Code of Discipline, the policies on Quality Management System (QMS), Information Security Management System (ISMS), Environment Health & Safety (EHS), and Environmental Management System (EMS); and other duties and responsibilities prescribed for all AMDATEX employees.
- Ensures compliance of all Non-Conformity Corrective Action Preventive Action Concessions (NCAPACs) and all other audit findings within the prescribed period.
- Reports security incidents and/or any identified security weaknesses with the utmost urgency
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

- Graduate of a 4-year course preferably related to Computer Science/ Engineering, and Information Technology.
- At least 2 years experience in software testing or development
Has undergone basic education / training on tools needed such as: - At least 1 programming language (e.g. Java, .Net)
Automated test tools (e.g. Selenium)
