We are currently looking to grow their business and are seeking to hire a QA Engineer to join the team. Your ambition should be to automate everything; you will be available and active in helping meticulously support the team in manual testing where we don't quite have the automation in place, or on the occasions where we would feel more comfortable having that extra kick at the wheels.

You will be responsible for holding our systems accountable against our non-functional requirements, performing regular vulnerability and load testing. Security is a key area we focus on at Learn Amp, so you will have the opportunity to develop and grow in this area.

We pride ourselves on being a high performing engineering team and you will be responsible for completing releases to production multiple times a day.

Responsibilities:

• Automate everything that is sensible to using Cypress
• Help to shape the QA Process by selecting the best tools and practice
• Regular discussions with the Lead QA about your skills and self-development
• Document and describe test scenarios in a clear and concise way (BDD scenarios)
• Responsible for scheduling and completing regular releases multiple times a day
• Requirement analysis and identification of edge cases
• Vulnerability and load testing
• Perform manual testing of new features, including cross-browser with Browserstack
• Participation in the triage of errors reported by the client

Requirements:

• Ability to work well in a team and self-organise, we aren't necessarily looking for leaders, but every team member must be able to hold each-other accountable on our principles
• Having Cypress experience is not a must; however, you must have confidence in your ability to adapt to and work with the tool and prove you understand the fundamentals of software testing and best practices
• A keen interest in security and vulnerability testing and the eagerness to learn and grow in this area
• An interest in getting involved with the cybersecurity community (taking part in capture the flag events)
• The ability to adapt and integrate with a team, understand their processes, and help them to solve their quality problems collaboratively
• Self-motivation to research and learn on the job
• Experience with at least one coding language and/or framework, preferably several - we work primarily with Cypress, Ruby on Rails and Vue.js
• A proven track record of applying technical solutions to quality problems - this could be creating testing frameworks from scratch or utilising CI/CD to maximise the benefits of effective automation
• The ability to work autonomously towards your quality vision and using your own initiative to determine the best approach to testing
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written communication skills (English)

Bonus:

• Hands on experience with security/vulnerability testing including use of tools such as Burp Suite
• Experience of running web application vulnerability scanners (Tenable, OWASP ZAP)
• Load testing experience (Locust.io), very much appreciated
