JOB SUMMARY
Primary duty is to compile objective evidence through continuous audit and surveillance of the different facets of APPC operations disciplines, subcontractors and supplier vendor/services to determine whether business is being conducted in accordance with established company policies, procedures, aviation authority requirements and best industry practice. Assures that evaluation of authorized personnel are competent to carry out maintenance activities to release the aircraft to service. Ensures that all procedures manuals are kept up to date and relevant with the best standard practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To conduct periodic quality audit on maintenance operations, including sub contractor, on aircraft, engines, components and appliances. Performs audit of the tools, test equipment, facilities, ground equipment, aircraft manuals and qualifications of maintenance personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards established in the APPC manual and aviation authority requirements
Conducts source inspections, evaluations and/or surveillance of vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
Supports and actively participates in root-cause-analysis. Conducts follow-up audits to review the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
Maintain/Review and update QMS documents and other procedural contents as needed.
Prepare progress reports, program reviews as needed, to assure the highest quality and cost effectiveness. Provides activity and status reports to management in relation to new capabilities and different customer requirements
Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing, and present metrics associated with quality trends and related improvements within the customer and/or procedural deviation.
Coordinate with customers and civil aviation authorities to determine schedule, requirements, and specific needs for audit inspection and/or new capabilities
Provides training and/or tutoring to APPC personnel for regulatory, procedural and competency programs.
Assess personnel competency in the capacity to become an aircraft and/or component certifying staff.
Complies with applicable regulatory and standards of APPC; actively involve with APPC Safety Management System by reporting all accident, incidents, and any hazard in the work place; and being safety conscious by exerting duty of care in the performance of duties.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by Manager Quality Assurance
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent aviation discipline, or alternatively 3 years of relevant experience in addition to technical education such as an A&P/AMS license
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Handson experience with quality assurance processes including, but not limited to, inspection of hardware and paperwork, product and process audits, Different CAA audits and special process audits Fostering Teamwork & Diversity: high level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively SKILLS & ABILITIES
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to summarize complex technical matters. Must be able to confidently and professionally represent APPC to customers and different civil aviation authority
Strong analytical and operational business skills
Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
Self-motivated and table to get results with minimal supervision and oversight
Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
