- Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions.
Assist in Research & Development Food Trial Evaluation/Testing in coordination with Purchasing Buyers
Collect, analyze, compile, distribute and present various reports as requested. Assist in the development of quality programs and procedures and assessing programs for effectiveness.
Ensures product quality via periodic auditing of specification adherence to shelf life, storage condition, and standard production output/yield.
Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues, and document corrective actions.
Communicate issues and developments identified during quality assurance activities along with corrective actions, provides CAPA Reports for all nonconformances (Commissary, Warehouse, Dispatch and Store Operation).
Guest complaint investigation and root cause analysis, provides CAPA Reports for all non-conformances.
Responsible for supporting investigations and process improvement initiatives in the Quality and Production Areas.
Utilize metrics/data to evaluate and improve quality assurance procedures and processes.
Participate in Internal Audits and Food Safety inspections.
Support recall program activities (trace exercises, mass balances, training).
Assist in implementing quality assurance improvement plans to improve quality assurance procedures.
Conduct daily swab testing of all production utensils, equipment and working area.
Maintain quality assurance database to record test results, documentation and track defects.
Inspect and maintain areas for sanitation.
Monitor and follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety.
Ability to make quality/food safety decisions involving product quality.
Assist in conducting GMP Refresher/Review Training for new and regular employees.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Perform other tasks that may be assigned either individually or as part of a committee
Graduate of Food Technology or equivalent
- At least 1year experience as Quality Assurance Associate or equivalent position
Knowledge in GMP, HACCP, SSOP, CAPA- Must be willing to work extended hours
Must be willing to work on weekend and holidays
