KEY QUALIFICATIONS Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Proficient in the use of quality testing and inspection equipment.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certifications:- Certification in Quality Assurance or related field (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) is a plus.
Working Conditions:- The position may require occasional lifting of products or materials.
The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
- The role may involve some travel to attend training sessions, industry conferences, or company meetings.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.- Develop and execute sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports on findings and work with production management to determine the root cause of defects.- Maintain thorough documentation of all quality assurance activities, including inspection records, test results, and corrective actions.
Ensure all products comply with applicable laws and regulations, including FDA, ISO, and other relevant standards.- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company maintains compliance with the latest standards.
Identify areas for quality improvement and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.- Participate in the development of quality assurance policies and procedures and continuously review and update them as necessary.
Provide training and support to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.- Prepare for and participate in external audits and inspections.
