QC Microbiologist Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or any allied profession, preferably with at least 2 years experience in a manufacturing company. Has good working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Laboratory Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and PIC/s ( Pharmaceutical Inspection Co- Operation Scheme).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs sampling and microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process products, finished goods and primary packaging materials in accordance with approved procedures and established test methods.
- Prepares culture media needed for microbiological testing of raw and packaging materials, in-process/ bulk products and finished goods.
- Performs growth promotion Test for culture media.
- Inventories, orders and maintains adequate levels of supplies for Micro Laboratory.
-Communicates status of test results to QC Manager for review, approval or final disposition.
- Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all test results and prepares laboratory reports where required.
- Conducts equipment qualification and monitors the working condition and calibration of microbiological laboratory instruments.
- Assist and provides data required in the preparation of Quality Product Reviews and Risk Assessment in areas of responsibility.
-Responsible for ensuring and sustaining the implementation of 5S, GLP, GMP, PIC/S and Environmental and Safety requirements in micro laboratory.
- Assist in other task that may be assigned by superior when need arises.
