I.POSITION SUMMARYThe QC Chemist performs physico-chemical analysis for raw materials, in-process and finished product. Provides input in the resolution of technical problem, if any, and conduct laboratory investigation. Executes testing based on approved standard operating procedures and analytical methods and notify Heads for deviations observed and/or updating needed. Ensures compliance to the given approved testing schedule and coordinates with QC Analyst to ensure timely release of Certificate of Analysis.
- II.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct laboratory testing for physico-chemical analysis.
- Perform chemical standardizations to maintain quality in test results.
- Maintain the QA/QC programs, quality investigations needed as well as any reports and record keeping needed to validate test results and samples test results.
- Maintain products specifications, inventory, and safekeeping and purchased material specifications especially for reagents and other chemicals needed to perform tests.
- Conduct Hydrogen peroxide residual determination.
- Conduct 1st and 2nd Protocol shelf life validation.
- Review, update and develop procedures and train QC Analyst.
- Manage and prepare certificate of analysis for shipments.
- Provides reports or COA for sample shipment evaluation and pre-shipment sample.
- Troubleshoot customer complaint related to quality and provide accurate and on time investigation and technical report with corrective action in coordination with Sales, R and D and Senior QC Supervisor.
- Recommend and justify new laboratory equipment and systems, when necessary.
- Prepare documents needed in filing shipment Health Certificate.
- Responsible in FDA application for CPR, LTO and Notification of Sources.
- Maintained client folders containing Sales Order, COA and other records generated.
- Update monthly monitoring sheet for FG quality and SRF formulas
- Updating Quality Control Manual, Work Instruction and Procedures aligned to current practice.
- Responsible in maintaining the good laboratory practices in the laboratory.
- Adhere to safe work practices.
