Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA QC Engineer to join our team for a roads and bridges project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes and regulations. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of road and bridge construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform material testing and analysis to verify the quality and suitability of construction materials, including aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and steel.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to identify discrepancies, deviations, or potential issues.
- Monitor construction processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Document inspection findings, test results, and quality-related data in comprehensive reports and records.
- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and audits to provide input on quality-related matters and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for project personnel to promote awareness of quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement quality control plans, inspection checklists, and quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to road and bridge construction, quality management, and materials testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control for roads and bridges projects, preferably in a construction or consulting environment.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
