• Role Purpose

As a QA Software Testing Engineer, your primary role is to ensure the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to identify potential issues, mitigate risks, and maintain high standards of product excellence. Your contributions will directly impact the overall user experience and satisfaction by detecting and resolving software defects before deployment. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering flawless software solutions.

• Responsibilities

Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements, system specifications, and industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, scope, and timelines.

Test Execution: Execute various types of tests including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to identify defects and ensure software functionality meets design specifications. Utilize both manual and automated testing techniques as appropriate.Defect Management: Report defects accurately and efficiently using designated defect tracking tools. Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of identified defects.

• Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Identify opportunities for test automation and implement robust automation frameworks.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. Contribute to process improvements and optimization initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance process.

Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure documentation is maintained and updated throughout the software development lifecycle.Use Cases: Translate and execute requirements into end-to-end use cases as used by customers.

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with team members, key people leaders and stakeholders using effective communication strategies.

Perform other related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice and skill set.

• Participate in Performance Reviews, Training Via KnowBE4 Application, Career Development, and Learning & Development as required.

You are both an individual contributor as well as a team member, do right by both.

• Other duties as directed by QA Manager / Release Manager and Senior Leadership.

• Requirements

Proficient in C# and .NET Core, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, especially aggregation queries

Familiar with various design and architectural patterns

• 8+ years working in .Net core.

Experience working in a microservice architecture.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes

Some familiarity with Cloud Technology

• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests.

Experience working in Agile development.

• Good understanding of SOLID principles and clean code.

Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (Elastic stack preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Selenium, playwright

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
