Job Summary:As the QA Senior Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance activities within our manufacturing processes. You will lead a team of QA engineers, develop and implement quality control strategies, and ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications. Your role will be crucial in driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest quality standards.
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Develop and manage the QA team's schedule, workload, and priorities.
Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.- Establish and maintain quality metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve product quality.
Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality-related issues.
Oversee the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and validation protocols for new and existing products.- Ensure rigorous testing procedures are followed and maintain detailed documentation of test results and findings.
Ensure that all quality assurance activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including test results, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet quality standards and specifications.- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to address quality issues and drive improvements.
Work closely with production, engineering, and product development teams to address quality issues and support product development initiatives.
- Provide quality insights and recommendations during product design and development phases.
Develop and deliver training programs for QA team members and other staff to enhance understanding of quality standards and best practices.- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance and manufacturing technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP).
- Proficiency in quality assurance tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing QA team.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
