The Quality Engineer 1 supports in driving of leading indicators to meet the key quality metric. He / She understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control that aims to improve the rate of quality failures to eliminate the costs of reworking and maximize customer satisfactions with the parts / products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Executes advance quality planning from parts, product review to FAI production and from process design to process validation of the new parts, product introduction models, as well as the new equipment, new line, new process, and new site qualification audits.
Executes new process, parts, and product transfer, start up, mass production and process sustenance.
Drives resolution on issues affecting the parts, product and process quality issues and excursions through root cause analysis and corrective action.
Leads adhoc to yellow belt level projects at the minimum which drives continuous improvement to have a robust and cost-efficient process impacting quality and efficiency of the quality processes.
Responsible to monitor compliance to various process control such Product OCAP, Sampling Plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan
Implementation and ensure compliance to establish product and parts criteria in compliance to customer requirements.
Executes quality initiatives of the internal refurbishing business by analyzing, understanding, and communicating in real time the quality performance and issues to internal customers for proper response, disposition, and reaction plan.
Leads the execution and collaboration with internal related functions in generating containment, corrective, preventive and sustainable action plan for yield and quality improvement based on the result of failure analysis, qualification process and reliability testing.
Initiates and leads change management projects to control and reduce or eliminate risk on process, parts and product changes.
Monitors the effectiveness of the applied changes and / or containment action through performance data analysis and audit results to validates implementation and effectiveness of applied corrective actions.
Supports the system improvement on change management process to control and reduce or eliminate risk on process, parts and product changes.
Coordinates and collaborates to internal customers and stakeholders the effectiveness of the applied containment action through performance data analysis and audit results to validate the implementation and effectiveness of applied corrective actions.
Coordinates with internal customers and stakeholders the internal/external quality issues affecting the quality metric of the organization.
Adheres to Asurion Handbook and the Rules of Corrective Discipline
Performs other duties as maybe assigned by immediate superior.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSECE, BSEE, BSME, BSMetE, BSMatE preferred)
Preferably with 2 years work experience in consumer electronics manufacturing set-up or completed Supply Chain Apprentice Program
