Compiles information requested by department and organizes it into a format that can be easily interpreted.
Obtains quotations from suppliers so that purchases are made in the best interest of the Hotel in terms of discount, cost, and quality.
Initiates purchase documentations upon authorization.
Establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications when it is beneficial to the company
Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies
Maintains professional, independent and with no conflict of interest working relationships with local vendors, suppliers and other departments.
Cooperates and coordinates with colleagues and outside contractors whenever necessary.
Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers.
Identifies products for substitution to save cost but maintains quality.
Stay updated with industry trends or new product knowledge in the market and recommend appropriate action to be taken to improve the quality of items served in the Hotel.
Performs regular checks on prices of items in the market to ensure prices quoted by suppliers are competitive and of required quality standards.
Ability to communicates and negotiates items and/or services subject for replacement and/or repair due expiration and/or warranties.
Maintain an orderly filing system of suppliers and contractors.
Compliance with policies and procedures on Tendering Process and Purchasing
Ensures contract review tracker is updated and assist in routing of contracts to signatories
Performs other tasks as necessary.
