Purchasing Supervisor

The Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for canvassing and procuring raw materials, consumables, and services. They will ensure the availability of supplies based on production demands and maintain sufficient inventory levels for daily operations with management approval.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, and AUTHORITIES

I. Canvassing

- Source and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers of materials and services

- Follow up promptly with suppliers for timely quotations and sample requests

- Negotiate for competitive pricing while ensuring quality standards are met

II. Purchasing

- Prepare and issue approved Purchase Orders (PO) to suppliers

- Monitor and track scheduled deliveries

- Maintain accurate documentation of all purchases and transactions

- Provide regular updates to relevant departments on procurement status

III. Stock Monitoring

- Ensure adequate stock levels for daily operations

- Monitor the usage and movement of raw materials and consumables

- Address any supply issues or discrepancies proactively

- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager of the Supply Chain for inventory management decisions

BASIC RELATIONSHIPS

- Reports to the Assistant Manager of the Supply Chain and Managing Directors

- Collaborates with the Production, Accounting, Sales, and Marketing departments

- May receive additional tasks from the Plant Manager and Managing Directors

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in any field

- Prior experience in purchasing or supply chain management

- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Background in food manufacturing and F&B industry preferred

- Ability to manage people and prioritize tasks effectively

- Experience in handling and supervising a team is preferred
