We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Purchasing Staff member to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure efficient procurement of goods and services essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain positive vendor relationships.
Conduct research to source new suppliers and maintain existing supplier relationships.
- Obtain and compare prices, specifications, and delivery options from suppliers to determine the best deal.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs.
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
Resolve issues related to purchasing, such as discrepancies with orders or deliveries.- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Coordinator, or similar role specifically in Department Store.- Solid knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
