JOB DESRIPTION- Received Procurement Request. Check completeness of specification and accomplishment of form.
Canvass, evaluate quotations from various suppliers and negotiate requested materials / equipment based on Procurement Request and Purchasing guidelines and procedures.- Recommend considered supplier or sub-contractor to Purchasing Manager based on result of negotiations.
Issue approved purchase order to supplier / subcontractor and monitor status of delivery.
- Encode invoices and monitor status of accomplishment.
Transmit Invoices to various projects for approval of Project Managers.- Follow up and monitor released invoices. Ensure immediate return of invoices to the Purchasing Department.
Prepare transmittal for invoices for turnover to Accounting and update accounts payable.
- Prepare Purchase Order and Invoice summary reports.
Keep up to date with new materials, techniques and price list. Recommend more cost-effective measures to Purchasing Manager and other Departments.- Performs other related work as required.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
At least 2 years of purchasing experience within construction company- Knowledge of standard purchasing procedures and contract management, and importation and customs
With strong negotiation, numerical, analytical, and problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
