The
Purchasing Officer plays a vital role in ensuring efficient procurement processes for the company. They are responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing purchases to maximize savings and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. Additionally, they oversee the accreditation of suppliers, maintain records, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Duties and Responsibilities
Research and identify potential suppliers and service providers.- Handle the accreditation process for new suppliers.
Establish Service Level Agreements with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and pricing.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders according to specifications.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers.
Track Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery.- Coordinate with internal departments regarding requested goods/services.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of suppliers, service providers, and Purchase Orders.- Prepare and submit purchase reports to management.
Evaluate supplier performance.
- Industry Awareness and Department Management:
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay updated on industry trends.
- Schedule and oversee Purchasing Department personnel.
Conduct selection, orientation, and training of department personnel.- Evaluate staff performance.
Report equipment or supply breakage or loss.- Represent the Purchasing Department in meetings and discussions.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Business Management preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage procurement.
Basic understanding of Halal Assurance System (HAS) preferred.- Professional certifications are a plus.
Must be willing to work in Cainta, Rizal.
