Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Purchasing Manager, you are essential to our company's success and growth. Your responsibilities include managing procurement and purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of machine parts and company assets for daily operations. This involves carefully reviewing, validating, and filing purchase orders based on agreed supplier agreements and service levels. You will also prepare, monitor, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure goods and services are delivered efficiently. Additionally, staying up to date on current trends in supply chain management.
  • Main Functions:
Responsible for identifying new local and international suppliers that meet the company's needs. Includes but is not limited to evaluating reputation, quality of service, and other factors.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction strategies.
Negotiating contracts that are fair and beneficial to both parties
  • Timely monitoring of purchase requests and approved purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and reduce lead time.
Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and ensuring they fulfill their contractual obligations.
  • Promptly addressing supplier concerns and issues, including but not limited to checking the quality of incoming deliveries, returning items with quality issues, paying suppliers in due time, and properly checking and filing invoices from suppliers.
Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
  • Manage revolving funds and ensure the team uses resources effectively.
Conduct regular audits of purchasing activities and supplier contracts.
  • Review and analyze lead times and service levels to ensure the team meets agreed standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team.
  • Provide reports and analysis to support the Supply Chain Manager's data requirements. Ensure that submitted reports are accurate and up to date.
Participate in collaborative programs with other departments for process improvement.
  • Minimal Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree graduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred. Master's degree is a plus but not required.
  • 2-3 years experience as a purchasing manager.
Experience using procurement software and databases.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation techniques.
Experience with global sourcing, logistics, and supply chain best practices is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40,
  • 00 - Php55,000.00 per month
