Purchasing Head

At least college graduate with experience in Construction industry is a plus and with 5 years experience as Purchasing Head.

• forecasts levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock availability
  

• conducts research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
  

• liaises between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
  

• identifies potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them;
  

• negotiates and agrees contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided;
  

• processes payments and invoices;
  

• develops an organization's purchasing strategy;
  

• produces reports and statistics using computer software;
  

• ensures suppliers are aware of business objectives;
  

• formulates and initiates guidelines and procedures to become systematic the operation from time to time.
  

• it has been proven that the purchasing head should have extensive experience in the fields of purchasing and canvassing both local and international suppliers.
