JOB SUMMARY:The Procurement Associate builds and maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers, conducts market research to identify the best quality materials, products, and prices, and handles all company administrative responsibilities related to purchases, order tracking, purchase agreements, deliveries, and product records.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish connections with the organizational network and outside suppliers and ensures updated with current market developments.
- Assists in securing product quotations and canvasses in accordance with the selection process from the possible suppliers for the materials, machinery, and goods that the project requires.
Communicate with suppliers to place purchase orders, make payments, and monitor delivery lead times through various channels.- Before placing orders or agreeing to any terms and conditions, haggle with suppliers about the costs of materials, machinery, and goods as well as their availability and any applicable regulatory importing restrictions.
Processes and settles payments to vendors and suppliers in collaboration with the Accounting and Finance Departments.
- Provides timely update to interested departments on procurement requests, ensuring that all are delivered within the specified delivery lead time.
Maintains accurate records of purchases, receipts, sales invoices, and delivery receipts.- Evaluates suppliers capabilities, quality, reliability, and financial stability.
Ensure purchase orders align with budgetary constraints and organizational policies.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and emerging technologies.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and communication with suppliers- Perform procurement related tasks that may be assigned.

Education & Training:_
- Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft office and ability to learn how to use specialist software.- Analytical mindset for evaluation supplier capabilities and market trends.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
