Job SummaryThe Purchasing Officer ensures the efficient sourcing, procurement, and delivery of supplies and equipment needed by Hospital/clinic operations. Attention is given to compliance with specifications, quality, cost of materials, and timeliness. The role is responsible for managing suppliers: from sourcing, qualifying, accreditation, and contract negotiation.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Accredit suppliers based on set guidelines and requirements
- Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, capability to deliver on time and other set criteria
Analyze proposals and financial information to determine supplier capability and price competitiveness- Build and maintain good relationships with the supplier network
Contract Management- Negotiate contracts on behalf of the company in coordination with Corporate Procurement
Evaluate and monitor contracts for compliance with indicated terms and conditions
Procurement Continuous Improvement- Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvements through more efficient procurement methods, automation, outsourcing, quantity discounts, standardization, value analysis, and bulk purchasing.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and other business related courses.
Knowledge in procurement operations, policies, best practices, and terminology used in purchasing supplies and materials
- High level of Negotiation skills
At least four (4) years Purchasing experience in a Management Position
