Job Description: As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department. You will assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that the company's operational needs are met, while maintaining cost efficiency and high-quality standards.
Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on quality, price, and service.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding purchase orders and maintain accurate records.- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and trends in the market.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, deliveries, and invoices.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.- Maintain and update supplier information and purchasing records.
Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
- Support the purchasing manager in various administrative tasks and special projects.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a purchasing assistant or in a similar role.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory software.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
