Newbie Station Logistics Inc. is a logistics company that operates worldwide. Based in Bonifacio Global City, it has warehouses in Bian and Calamba. Currently we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to work in our main office.
You will be tasked with ensuring timely and cost-effective ways of acquiring items, supplies, and equipment in accordance with the company's needs.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs
- Researching potential vendors
Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery- Update order details in company database
Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
Prepare cost analyses- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or the likes is _required_
- With previous experience as a Purchasing Assistant is preferred
Good understanding of supply chain procedures- Highly proficient with MS Excel
Knowledge of market research
- Good organizational skills
