- Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all project site requests- Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company
Coordinating with logistics department and site coordinators to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered construction materials
- Managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping and updating all records of purchased products
Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases and generation of purchase order forms- Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock.
Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Banking and payment errands
Requirements and skills- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (specially , Word and Excel), Google drive, etc
Understanding of supply chain procedures- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Negotiation skills
- BS in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
