As a great development role, you will work alongside the Assistant Accountant to support and deliver key achievable financial outcomes for your portfolio of hotels in Queensland and Victoria, Australia. Reporting directly to the Assistant Financial Controller based in Brisbane, this role would be suitable for a Chartered Accountant with a Degree in Accounting/Financial Management with a minimum 3 years experience in Accountant Position in Hotels or accommodation industry.
- Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Strong desire to learn the Australian Management and Letting Rights (MLR) business model
- Review and oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure all bills are managed and paid properly
Review and oversee the Accounts Receivable function to ensure invoices are correct and accurate, and AR aging is properly managed- Review and assist in the Payroll function to deliver fortnight pay to all staff
Daily cash flow report and forecast
- Managing the General Ledger, month-end procedures, and financial analysis
Perform balance sheet reconciliation with proper supporting documents- Compose management reports and conduct KPI analysis
With a deep understanding of the nature of the business, assist in preparing accurate forecasts and annual budget
- Manage and train the dedicated Assistant Accountant in order to achieve the best outcomes
1Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Financial Controller and Financial Controller
- Essential Skills/Experience
CPA/Non CPA- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
Minimum 3 years of previous experience in similar roles
- Excellent English communication skills
Very strong analytical skills- Ability to work well under pressure and with competing priorities, and under minimum supervision
Experience in Accounting software such as Xero is highly preferred
- Must be amenable to work onsite in Eastwood, Quezon City
