The Manager Consulting Expert Project Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the transition of projects from the development or implementation phase to operational status. This role involves coordinating activities across various teams to ensure a smooth handover and minimize disruption to services. The Project Transition Manager will lead the planning and execution of project transitions, ensuring that all project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with organizational objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Your main responsibilities as Manager Consulting Expert Project Transition Manager, but not limited to the following:

  • Transition Planning: Develop and implement transition strategies, timelines, and processes to facilitate the smooth transfer of projects into operational environments. Conduct post-transition reviews to assess the effectiveness of the transition process.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, IT, and business units to align resources and ensure effective communication throughout the transition process.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with transitions and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • People Management: Lead and manage the project transition team, providing direction, guidance, and support to achieve performance goals and objectives. Hire, train, and develop staff to build a skilled and motivated workforce capable of delivering high-quality services.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics to evaluate the success of transitions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained, including process guides, user manuals, and transition reports.
  • Project Management: Create project plans, status reports, and other project management deliverables to track progress, milestones, and deadlines for project delivery initiatives.
  • Personal Development: Engaging in continuous learning and professional development activities to enhance skills, transition knowledge, and stay abreast of changes in the field. This might include attending conferences, workshops, or pursuing certifications.

Other responsibilities include:

  • To work in partnership with local management, colleagues, and clients at all levels to ensure requests are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Follow agreed escalation procedures.
  • To come in on time and on scheduled shift and breaks assigned by people manager.
  • Advise people manager of planned/unplanned leaves as below or depending on the engagement's policies.: Vacation leave - at least 2 weeks in advance of planned leave date. Sick leave - at least 2 hours prior to the start of the shift.
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with agreed metrics.
  • Ensure that all quality deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner for activities in your function.
  • To submit necessary delivery reports.
  • Ensure feedback is given to people manager if potential issues are detected.
  • Ensure feedback is given to the people manager if process improvement measures can be implemented.
  • Ensure attendance at planned meetings.
  • Understand and exemplify the CGI Competencies and Leadership Competencies.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Education and Experience:

  • At least a vocational Diploma, Short Course Certificate Undergraduate, or Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial or leadership role, ideally managing a team of project transition coordinators or similar positions.
  • Experience working at a service desk or customer support environment, with a clear understanding of service delivery and customer interaction.
  • Willing to work in a shifting schedule when needed (ex. Night shift, weekend shift, holidays, 24/7 Support).
  • Willing to work 100% onsite when needed.
  • Willing to work in OWS Mckinely Taguig or Alpha Ortigas Site.

Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities:

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Understanding of the end-to-end project transition lifecycle, including planning, execution, and post-transition review.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices applicable to project transitions.
  • Familiarity with the technical aspects of the projects being transitioned, including any relevant systems, tools, or technologies.
  • Understanding of change management principles and practices to effectively manage changes during the transition.
  • Risk Management
  • Specialize in managing project risks and supporting the project manager
  • Develop and maintain the risk register.
  • Conduct detailed risk analysis and assessment.
  • Coordinate risk response plans and strategies.
  • Track risk mitigation efforts and report on progress.
  • Provide risk management expertise and guidance.
  • Issue Management
  • Specialize in managing project issues and supporting the project manager.
  • Maintain the issue log and track issues through resolution.
  • Facilitate issue analysis and resolution planning.
  • Coordinate actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Report on issue status and resolution progress.
  • Communication Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly present information, facilitate meetings, and prepare reports.
  • Active listening skills to clearly understand project requirements, concerns, etc.
  • Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders and clients.
  • Customer-focused attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
