Primary Function
Responsible for overseeing the performance of assigned major capital expenditure projects insofar as design and construction are concerned and ensuring that all design, engineering, and construction efforts are controlled in all aspects of quality, schedule and budget.
CAPEX Estimation and Construction Management
- Maps out the strategies and measures in delivering the major projects on time, within budget and with the right quality.
- Sets project timetables, formulates operating and capital budgets, establishes measurable performance control standards, and devices monitoring and reporting systems for management consumption.
- Collaborates with all department heads concerned, including critical partners in corporate engineering and purchasing, in ensuring that all these will be met. Likewise involves contracted partners such as Architects, Engineers, and Contractors.
- Regularly reports to the Project Control Group the status of expenses, budget and timelines. Initiates, evaluates, analyzes (including cost benefit), plans and makes recommendations on addressing project deviations.
Contractor Management
- Prepares, reviews and approves all contract proposals for the project. Seeks project working group concurrence and recommends to the project control group for final awarding.
- Manages the conduct of project construction through the construction manager or contractor's key personnel. Checks and approves works of contractors especially on major projects and ensures that all jobs are in conformance with the set standards and specifications.
Compliance with Regulations
- Plans, coordinates and prepares compliance with government regulations related to the project. Works out with the contractor for the documents processing and other related transactions.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer with at least ten (10) years of managerial experience in project management and plant engineering in a food manufacturing industry.
- Must have excellent expertise in civil and structural design, project management, and plant safety.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Project Management Software preferred.
- Willing to do field work and site visitations.
- Must be amenable to working onsite at Canlubang, Laguna.
