Project Engineer - Structural

Haskell is an international Design-Builder with offices across North America, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Manila. Haskell was founded in 1965 and focuses on Industrial, Aviation, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Transportation & Specialty-type projects.

• Responsibilities:

Prepares clear, complete, and concise calculations including software models.

• Develop all details necessary from the structural design.

Produce structural design calculation/documents.

• Manage relevant authority submission for related projects.

Coordination with internal / external designers.

• Review of structural design / BIM modelling works.

Attend design, clients, coordination and site meetings.

• Attend the trainings provided by the company / external party.

To support sales and business development team with the proposals.

• Requirements:

A minimum of 5-year working experience in engineering design consultancy environment. We will also consider senior and experienced candidates.

• Experienced in manufacturing or industrial building related structures is preferred. This will entail steelwork design experience for warehouse and industrial steelwork structures.

Good competence in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete analysis and design.

• Good knowledge in using structural analysis, design and detailing software e.g. RAM Structural System, ETABS, SAFE, Tekla Structural Designer or equivalent.

Ability to work within AutoCAD, Revit and other 3D modelling software.

• Ability to do structural BIM modelling by using Revit will be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge and design on civil works will be an added advantage.

• Familiar with steelwork and reinforced concrete design codes (preferably BS/Eurocodes and American Standards). Experience with American Standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC etc) will be an added advantage.

Able to coordinate with different disciplines in a project.

• Independent and organised, with positive work attitude.

Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.

Good proficiency in English (Both written and spoken) is necessary as we will be dealing with our colleagues from overseas and delivering international projects.
