Position Overview
The Wind Turbine Technician is responsible for the installation, wiring, commissioning, and maintenance of wind turbine units, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout all stages of the project. This role requires a proactive approach to issue resolution, adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, and effective teamwork in a cross-cultural environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, the physical ability to work at heights, and a dedication to maintaining high HSE standards in wind farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of Wind Turbine Units: Responsible for installing wind turbine units and ensuring quality and safety during the installation process.
- Site Cable Laying and Wiring Work: Handle cable laying and wiring tasks at the site.
- Commissioning of Wind Turbine Units: Responsible for commissioning wind turbine units.
- Swift Issue Response and Troubleshooting: Quickly address electrical, mechanical, software issues, and perform component replacements to maintain project continuity.
- Adherence to HSE Standards: Work according to the highest health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards while meeting project targets.
- Report:Compile regular report on mechanical/electrical installation and debugging.
- Warehouse:Inventory management for spare parts.
- Other relevant tasks assigned by Project Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or above, preferably in electrical/mechanical engineering;
- Be able to climb a wind turbine and perform demanding physical work in heights and in confined space as well as in various weather conditions.
- GWO or other industrial certifications are nice to have.
- A significant understanding of and commitment to the standard of HSE in the wind farms.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
