Why this role exists
The Project Engineer position exists to ensure seamless documentation management and technical oversight across all construction projects. This role is crucial for maintaining standardized processes, managing project documentation through Procore, and delivering comprehensive closeout packages that demonstrate our client's superior organizational capabilities and technical expertise to stakeholders.
The Impact you'll make
Submittal Management
- Create and maintain detailed submittal logs
- Review/Markup submittal for clarity and consistency
- Process and standardize submittals for ownership review
- Track submittal status and update Project Managers
- Research engineering concerns within submittals
Drawing Control
- Maintain current project drawing sets
- Update drawings with RFI responses
- Manage version control and distribution
- Archive superseded drawings
Project Documentation
- Set up project structures in Procore
- Maintain organized filing systems
- Ensure documentation accessibility
- Standardize documentation across projects
Closeout Process
- Compile comprehensive closeout packages
- Organize warranties and maintenance instructions
- Create user-friendly operations manuals
- Present completed documentation to ownership
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
- 3-5 years of construction documentation experience
- Engineering or construction background
- Demonstrated experience with Procore or similar construction management software
- Experience with AutoCAD and PDF markup tools
- History of working on remote/international projects
- WFH Set-Up:
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

Work Setup:

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM EST (Pacific Standard Time)
- 40 hours per week
Compensation:
