THE JOB: In charge of handling requirements to handle the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electronic control systems, programmable logic controllers, and other equipment used in manufacturing operations. Maintains program back-ups for PLC and variable frequency drives. Accomplishes electronic/electrical control repair jobs based on contingency requirement and target schedules. Troubleshoots and repairs solid-state motor drives, solid-state temperature controllers, and computer-based controllers. Recommends necessary changes in circuitry to simplify assembly and
maintenance. Checks newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Graduate of Electrical Engineering Technology course
- Has at least two (2) years relevant work experience as industrial electrician, specifically in troubleshooting programmable logic controller and installation of electrical control wiring
- Able to analyze and interpret data from solid-state motor drives, controller scope meters and other troubleshooting equipment
- Capable of reading and interpreting electronics schematic diagram and electrical drawing/plan
