JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor will oversee the food manufacturing operations. He/ She will be responsible
for leading a team of production workers, ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality food
products. This role requires strong leadership abilities, problem-solving skills and a commitment to
maintaining productivity and quality standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, including scheduling, staffing and resource allocation to meet production targets and client demands.
Train, mentor and motivate production staff to maximize productivity, efficiency and team work.- Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Identify and troubleshoot production issues, equipment malfunctions and quality deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Maintain accurate production records, including production reports inventory levels and quality control documentation.- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures and best practices to promote a culture of safety, cleanliness and continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with other department, such as procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, production planning to coordinate production activities and resolve issues.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
Proven experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives.
Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment and quality control principles.
Knowledgeable with GMPs, HACCP and other food safety regulations.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with ERP (e.g. SAP) is preferred.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with diverse teams.
