Job Description

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Supervise assigned station for smooth flow of production;

Recommend revision of standard operating procedure in coordination with Engineering and QC/QA department to improve the process;

Coordinate plans with the Business Unit Manager to realize all production demands in terms of planning for the best use of manpower, equipment, time and space, improving on consumption of materials in order to meet the required material efficiency standard;

Monitor the progress of all plans to see if production is operating at maximum yield, minimum loss and producing the required output for the purpose of meeting the delivery requirement;

Monitor implementation of standard operating procedures, work procedures, engineering change notice, manufacturing instruction, and customer instruction;

Coordinates with other department on various activities and recommend action plans on problems / issues related to process, materials, quality, and engineering standards. Ensure that all problems / issues are resolved at early stage;

Maintain a safe work environment;

Ensures quality of work to the satisfaction of customers both internal and external;

Coordinate closely with Quality Engineer in implementing Company Quality System procedures and processes;

Complies with the proper operating procedures of safety and health standards /regulation;

Monitor areas of improvement in work performance through periodic line audit and attend to the welfare of production inspectors and operators by ensuring that they are working on a clean, orderly and safe working environment;

Coordinate closely with Planner on shipment status from input to delivery;

Coach and counsel employees as needed, especially during appraisal period;

Represent the line in management meetings and prepares all the needed reports;

Control and monitor absences, tardiness, leaves, overtime, and shift schedules;

Coordinate with the HR Department regarding implementation of disciplinary actions to be imposed on erring employees and at the same time regularly discuss/update the company policies and procedures;

Plan cross-training of production personnel with the end goal of placing the person on the right job to attain maximum efficiency. Performs other duties as needed or directed.
