Role Overview:A
Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production planning process to meet company objectives and customer demands. They analyze production requirements, develop production plans, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve production targets. Additionally, they monitor inventory levels, optimize workflow, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality standards.
Analyzing orders and order trends to create operational forecasts and production plans. Developing strategies to optimize production schedules and resource utilization.
- Preparing the workforce schedule for the Production Department according to the production plan. Handling selection, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of production personnel.
Monitoring inventory levels of raw materials, works-in-process, packaging materials, and finished goods. Ensuring optimal stock levels to support production activities while minimizing excess inventory.- Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, meet quality standards, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Implementing changes and evaluating their impact on production performance.
Analyzing production reports to evaluate performance against targets on yield, manpower, and duration. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Representing the Production Department in meetings with other departments and management. Facilitating communication and collaboration to support cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Food and Beverages industry or FMCG sector.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Food Safety.- Understanding of department policies, procedures, and practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
