JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the Production Planning Process
To act as focal point among concerned parties (Supply Chain, Product Development, Customer Service and Production) in terms of detailed scheduling.
Production Scheduling. Delivery of short to medium-term production plans, typically over a 04-week horizon or season, to meet the customer requirements. This also entails ensuring that site line-time requirements are built into the plan (i.e., trials, shutdowns, maintenance schedules, etc.).
Production Review (DPR) and CTS Alignment. Lead weekly meeting planning meeting, where latest short and medium-term production plans are communicated to the site key stakeholders. All issues need to be documented and resolution managed; where required escalated and communicate outcomes.
Supply Chain Meeting (SCM). Drive delivery compliance to support customer DIFOT by leading discussion among production, customer service, quality, and warehouse teams.
Planning rates. Periodically review the Performance catalogue with production to ensure that they align to proven demonstrated run-rate. Review and update in-line with agreed process.
Issues Resolution. Partner with key stakeholders to coordinate, consolidate, resolve, and communicate short term supply constraints which may require approvals for exceptions on replenishment (airfreight, overtime cost, etc.).
NPD Management. Manage materials requirements for product launches in-line with the agreed risk management strategy and highlighting/communicating issues and as when they arise to support in issue resolution.
Continuous Improvement. Lead root cause analysis reviews of all misses to drive visibility, understanding and improvements in the planning process to drive improvement in CTS and support production of GE attainment while still keeping customer requirements in check.
KPI Reporting. Collate and report KPI's as required by the business. Provide action-oriented commentary; including root cause and key insights.
Involvement in key drumbeat processes
Support the Demand and Planning Lead in preparation for Monthly Forecast review with CS and Country S&OP (standard operating procedures) Review.
Ensure all supply continuity issues are raised within Monthly Forecast Review and escalate to Country S&OP Review as required.
Manage planning tools and systems
Subject Matter Expert in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems
APO detailed scheduling planning book
BAAN ERP
Support the maintenance, admin and ongoing development of tools used for category planning analysis and demand forecasting.
Waste and Obsolescence
Where obsolete and slow-moving items have been identified, ensure that timely actions are undertaken to mitigate write-off expense.
Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of any course related to business administration, industrial engineering, or operations management
A minimum of five years relevant experience with extensive experience in a fast-moving, manufacturing environment.
Demonstrates coaching skills in terms of providing assistance to others in need
Excellent communication skills
Strong experience with Detailed Scheduling, Capacity Requirements Planning; Materials planning knowledge an advantage
High proficiency with ERP system (BAAN, APO)
Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Highly organized and can work independently
