The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process, managing production teams, and ensuring that manufacturing goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production management, strong leadership skills, and a track record of improving production efficiency.
Production Oversight:- Oversee and coordinate all production activities to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely completion of manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and procedures to meet production targets and optimize resource utilization.Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage production teams, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and support professional development for team members.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline production workflows and address any issues.
Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.- Develop and enforce quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to maintain product integrity.
Safety and Compliance:- Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.Resource Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure necessary resources and manage supply chain issues.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present production reports, including performance metrics, production schedules, and budget forecasts, to senior management.
Analyze production data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions for future planning.
Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service, to align production efforts with overall business objectives.- Address and resolve any cross-functional issues that impact production efficiency and effectiveness.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
Experience:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing production processes and teams.Skills:
