The Role
As Product Manager, you will provide guidance to a development team that is charged with delivering products and product functionality. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new solutions. You will create solutions from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on business strategy decision makers, your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work as a liaison between the market facing business stakeholders and the product development organization to define and document product business requirements. You will work directly with product owners and program managers in the development organization. You will support market planning in defining the go-to-market strategy, helping them to define the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your solutions offering.
The Product Manager must also lead the overall roadmap for insights, visualizations and analytics across multiple technology platforms.
This role is primarily strategic, but also requires tactical execution as the product business leader.
