Procurement SpecialistThe Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials for solar panel project, electrical components, and constructions supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in both the solar industry and construction supply chain, excellent negotiation skills, and ability to manage supplier relationships effectivity.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, wiring, and other related electrical components
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for construction materials including concrete, steel, lumber, and other necessary supplies.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors in the solar and construction industries.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for solar panels, electrical components, and construction supplies.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to forecast material requirements.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure expenditures are within approved limits.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to achieve them.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Keep updated on the latest advancements in solar panel technologies, electrical components, and construction materials.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Generate reports and analysis on procurement performance and material usage.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance on material specifications and sourcing options.
- College degree or any related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on solar panels, electrical components, and construction supplies.
- Strong understanding of solar panel materials, including PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, and wiring.
- Familiarity with the solar industry supply chain and market trends.
- Knowledge of construction materials and supplies, including concrete, steel, lumber, etc.
- Office based with occasional travel to supplier and project site's locations.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage priorities.
