Procurement AssistantThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement process, for products intended for sale by the organization. The role will also be involve in ensuring timely availability of products, and managing the compliance of suppliers to service level agreement.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Procurement
- Streamline procurement processes, standardize procurement policies, and implement best practices tom improve efficiency and reduce costs
Utilize procurement software and tools to automate processes such as purchase orders, approvals, and supplier communications
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, renegotiate contracts as needed, and manage supplier scorecards and KPIs
Forecasting and Demand Planning
Coordinate with suppliers to align production and delivery schedules with demand forecasts, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
Contract Management and Compliance
Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations
Continuous Improvement and Supplier Performance Metrics
Implement performance metrics, scorecards, and KPIs to measure supplier performance, quality levels, delivery accuracy, and responsiveness Conduct regular supplier performance reviews, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions and process enhancements
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing to implement and improve inventory management strategies
Participate in cross-functional meetings, provide procurement insights, and contribute to overall business planning, and decision-making process
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field- 2-3 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or related roles
Physically fit and able- Works five (5) working days a week and can attend to special jobs not limited to regular working hour/day
10% Field work, 90% Office-based
