Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best pricing and quality for materials and services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications, ensuring procurement aligns with technical needs.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
• Assist in the resolution of procurement-related disputes and issues as they arise.
• Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or construction environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess and interpret data effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
