Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role,
preferably in the dental or healthcare industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proficient in the use of purchasing software and data analysis
tools
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Responsibilities:
Dental Materials and Equipment Procurement:
Research, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers for
dental materials such as mouthwash, toothpaste, dental instruments, and other necessary equipment.
Negotiate favorable pricing, delivery terms, and quality assurance
with vendors and suppliers.
Place purchase orders, monitor order status, and coordinate timely delivery of dental materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to
ensure adequate supply for daily operations.
Collaborate with the dental team to identify new or alternative dental products that meet quality standards and budget requirements
Dental Clinic Construction and Expansion Support:
Assist in the planning and preparation of construction or expansion
projects for the dental clinic.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and contractors for
construction materials, equipment, and services.
Negotiate contracts, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely
delivery and installation of all necessary items.
Coordinate with the construction team to ensure the procurement
process aligns with project timelines and budgets.
Monitor and maintain records of all purchasing activities related to the dental clinic's construction or expansion.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and
suppliers to ensure reliable and efficient service.
Negotiate and renegotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms and pricing.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, deliveries, or
invoicing in a timely manner.
Regularly evaluate vendor and supplier performance, and provide
feedback to improve the partnership
General Purchasing Support:
Assist with the development and implementation of purchasing
policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to other staff members on purchasing related processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, reports, and documentation.
Perform any other purchasing-related tasks as assigned by the
management team.
