_As a Procurement Manager, your primary responsibility is overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Procurement Department in acquiring goods and services necessary for the company to operate the business. You will report directly to the Finance Controller._
- Key responsibilities include:
Review and endorse suppliers applying for accreditation.
- Regularly review the internal databases to ensure accuracy and completeness of Purchase Order (PO) details.
Review and validate all cost analyses prepared by Procurement Assistant for bidding projects prior to endorsement to the Finance Controller for approval.- Ensure that canvassing is always done by the Procurement Assistant from at least 3 accredited suppliers to get the best offers.
Validate all offers from suppliers that these are their best prices.
- Recommend to Finance Manager to negotiate price changes with suppliers when costs fluctuate significantly
Review POs and contracts to ensure that all terms have been met before endorsing to authorized Officers for approval.- Coordinate with other departments for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment
Communicate with internal customers about order status, answering questions about products and services, and resolving issues as aligned with Finance Controller.
- Regularly check records of POs issued and shipments received.
Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding procurement procedures, best practices, and approved policies and procedures.
Regularly train, mentor, and coach the Procurement Assistant to align with the approved policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; collaborate with internal teams.
Identify gaps in organizational performance and make recommendations for improvement.- Foster a productive and empowering working environment.
Champion and demonstrate passion for output.
- Contribute to the company's betterment and expansion.
Other responsibilities related to the job as seen fit.
