This is a site-based position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the upgrade and development of an airbase project.
As the Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing procurement activities for the project, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. You will work closely with project teams and suppliers to ensure that the required materials meet quality standards and are delivered according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for the airport project.
- Coordinate with project teams and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and manage contracts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Monitor and report procurement progress, highlighting potential issues.
- Resolve procurement-related issues on-site, working closely with the project management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement, ideally in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain logistics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
