JOB PURPOSEThe Manager of Business Process Excellence will lead the development, launch, and operations of a process improvement system in support of Generika's strategic and operating objectives. The over-all objective is to create an environment of continuous improvement within the company in order to eliminate waste, raise efficiencies, and increase customer satisfaction.
The Head will define the framework and operating principles, the methodology and tools best suited to Generika. He/she is expected to work closely with the senior management team and the various department heads to raise awareness and create and sustain an environment of continuous improvement in the company. The Head will develop the process and tools to guide the project teams through problem identification, prioritization, root cause analysis, resolution, and performance measurement.
The Manageris also expected to be develop and implement programs that will promote and increase adoption of Six Sigma principles (or other appropriate framework and methodologies) within the company. Finally, the Head is expected to define the resources and build the team that will drive implementation of these programs.
- SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the continuous improvement system and framework best suited to Generika
- Develop a business plan to engage, train, and rally employees and teams around these principles and methodologies.
- Define and articulate the Business Process Excellence department's short-term targets and longer-term aspirations with key milestones to measure progress.
- Lead the various Generika teams in implementing the plan and taking corrective actions where necessary to ensure key performance targets are met
- Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing practices, actively seeking ways to achieve better outcomes
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
A. WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years relevant experience in a leadership capacity
Strong communication skills
Strong team building and leadership skills
Bachelor`s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management or any related field
With appropriate certifications in project management, Six Sigma, lean
manufacturing
Comfortable in introducing, building, and launching a new function, and a new
way of doing things within a company
Strong working knowledge on MS Office tools
Management aptitudes, leadership and communication skills
Professional level of oral/written communication skills, negotiation skills, credibility,
reliability in dealing with suppliers
Strong leadership skills and proven experience in staff development
Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results
Versatile, tenacious and people oriented
