Your JobAs a Process Engineer for Twinax department, you will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, maintain, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
We manufacture cables
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in the plant
Develop, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, fabrication processes, tooling production equipment capabilities.
Be familiar with all equipment represented in the current Twin-ax line at Temp-Flex to include intrusion, taping, braiding and cabling.
Analyses and plans work force utilization, space requirements and workflow, and designs layout equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Implement a detailed plan to establish a new Twin-ax line, to support a combined future capacity of 100 million feet of bundled and discrete Twin-ax.
Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems.
Conduct material and product evaluation.
Assist on the assurance of effective process and product transfer.
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
Generate process documentation such PFMEA, WI, Technical Drawings, ECN and Procedures.
Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Become familiar with troubleshooting the processes and comparing cable performance to specifications.
Assist in establishing test lab set up to parameters as defined by Temp-Flex
Applies manufacturing methodology and statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 3 years relevant manufacturing operation working discipline and experience
Experience in the execution of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
Wire and Cable experience to include extrusion, taping, braiding, cabling
Knowledge of control systems engineering and PLC programming
SAP Experience
