Key Responsibilities: Analyze and optimize production processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost efficient ways;
Lead continuous improvement projects (CIP) to drive Yield, Availability and Performance;
Utilize structured problem-solving techniques such as Design of Experiments (DoE), Five Why (5W) and Eight Disciplines (8D);
Participate in developing and maintaining of FMEAs and Control Plans;
Analyze, develop, process, and implement Engineering Change Orders, Deviations;
Maintains the accuracy of MP's (Manufacturing Procedures) including BOM audits;
Utilize SPC data and tools to characterize all equipment processes for operating limits, robustness, and action limits;
Continually monitor key product and process characteristics;
Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) input to design team for process and yield improvement;
Train and mentor sustaining technicians.
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment;
Previous experience in EV manufacturing such as Motor, Battery, and GA;
Capable of identifying critical process parameters and applying statistics to process measurement and control;
Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to identify and drive non-standard solutions to solve manufacturing constraints;
Strong team working skills at all levels of an organization, especially skilled at working with direct labor to understand challenges;
Demonstrated capability of performing root cause analysis. Ability to analyze data and present in an effective format. Ability to read and analyze prints and perform tolerance stack analysis;
Enthusiasm for getting hands on with product assembly and production equipment;
Ability to work in rapidly changing environment with minimal guidance, self-starter, yet team player;
Familiarity with OEE, SPC;
Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and ECN processes;
Familiarity with LEAN principles a plus.
