About the Company
We are seeking an experienced Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to develop new product solutions for portable consumer applications. This role involves direct engagement with Tier 1 OEMs and offers opportunities for supervisory and mentorship leadership.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an analog/mixed-signal design team across our sites in Valencia (Spain), Cork (Ireland), Limerick (Ireland), Newbury (England), and the Philippines.
- Define and develop the architecture of high-performance mixed-signal devices.
- Perform IC block design, transistor-level circuit design, and simulation.
- Present technical information to internal engineering teams and customers.
- Utilize recommended design and verification techniques, tools, and flows to create efficient designs that meet all functional, power, and timing objectives.
- Integrate blocks successfully into larger mixed-signal systems.
- Support layout, lab evaluation, and test functions to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.
- Continuously improve analog design methodologies to align with the group's business objectives, reducing time and cost to market.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of analog and mixed-signal electronics, tools, and flows.
- Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, switching power supply circuits, audio, etc.
- Experience with Analog/Mixed-signal IC in technology nodes such as 0.18um, 90nm, 40nm.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively with a global, cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proven capability to take a full cell or system ownership role and contribute to product development, from architecture selection to implementation and debugging.
- Experience integrating analog blocks (e.g. converters, power management, etc.) in complex microcontroller systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
